Sometimes I wonder
what would have happened
if I just jumped in front of that car.
Would all this pain
never have happened?

Sometimes I wonder
what would have happened
if I walked off that ledge.
Would I be saved
from this heartbreak?

Sometimes I wonder
what would have happened
if I had the guts to pick up the knife.
Would all this suffering
never have been felt?

Sometimes I wonder
what would have happened
if I could have swallowed all those pills.
Would this heart
still be in tact?

I just wonder, wish and hope
that one day
I might get that courage to do so.
